How to Rent an Apartment in Marsala Sicily Italy

Apartment rental in Marsala Sicily Italy. We rent the furnished apartment 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and a washer machine. We were quite excited to get into an apartment during a pandemic and we kind of regret it because we could have gotten the apartment cheaper. Later on, after we lived in marsala for while the Italian local told us that we can rent an apartment for between 250 and 350 euros per month. Another thing since the apartment is old we have the hot water broke at least 3 times during our stay. and one time the water pipe broke the whole bathroom was flooded with water. On top of that, a lot of things broke plus the house is not soundproof which means we heard people singing or loud music almost every night during summer from evening until 3 am... The apartment only has one air conditioner in the living room and the rest of the room doesn't have the air or a fan. During summer we need a fan for us to sleep at night. So we spent roughly 100 euros on the fans. Internet was not included in it. We used Vodafone because they have great service and fast installer compared to a different one. We paid about 85 euros/3 months something like that. We have 2 phone services. We paid 40 euros for the sim card for each phone. Then, we paid 25 euros every 2 months for each phone. Important note: gas is very expensive 1.5 years we paid about 2,600 euros. We paid a one month deposit (700 euros) We paid 1-month rent to the real estate agent (700 euros) Rental costs 625 + 75 euros per month Electric every 2 or 4 months 1.5 years we paid about 2,600 euros for gas We also paid for electricity, and gas, every other month which seems complicated Trash 450 euros/year We have not yet water bill (we will update it when we get it)
